GLP-1 Injections
What are GLP-1 Injections?
GLP-1 injections are a treatment option that can support weight management by working with your body’s natural hormones involved in appetite, hunger, and blood sugar regulation. At our clinic, we offer two options: Semaglutide and Tirzepatide.
Each medication works differently, and your treatment plan is individualized based on your goals, health history, lifestyle, and needs.
What does GLP-1 Injections do?
GLP-1 medications work with hormones in the body that influence appetite, digestion, and blood sugar. Semaglutide primarily targets the GLP-1 pathway, helping promote fullness, manage hunger, slow digestion, regulate blood sugar, and reduced food intake alongside healthy lifestyle habits. Tirzepatide targets both GLP-1 and GIP pathways, which helps control appetite, increase satiety, slow stomach emptying, support blood sugar regulation, and healthy weight management. Since the two medications work differently, we help determine which option is the best fit for your needs and goals.
What does a GLP-1 Injection look like?
Meet with our Nurse Practitioner to discuss your goals, lifestyle, health history, and expectations for treatment. Based on your individual needs and medical history, your Nurse Practitioner will determine whether semaglutide or tirzepatide is the more appropriate option for you. GLP-1 medications are generally introduced at a lower starting dose and adjusted gradually as appropriate. Your Nurse Practitioner will determine your starting dose and provide instructions for your treatment plan.
